We are a Year 4 class of trapeze-artists, balancing our learning. Our teacher, Miss Irvine (a bit of a clown!) helps us learn and practise new things until we don't wobble anymore. We look forward to sharing our learning journey with you.

WALT: retell stories
A successful storyteller:
- uses eye contact with thier audience
- involves thier audience
- uses bodylanguage and body space to create atmosphere
- paints pictures in our imaginations, but still allows us to add our own thoughts and images
- varies their voice to express different emotions or characters
- varies the tempo and energy level throughout the story to keep the listeners interested

Maori Myths and Legends
We are going to be learning about Maori Myths and Legends. This is what we know already:
Today we started our learning by sharing a version of Maui and the Sun, then we looked a two video clips. We are going to story-board and retell, dramatise and do some visual art based around this story.
