The Moon - 9 August

Today we learnt about the moon. We now know:

• We have one moon and we can only see one side of it
• The moon orbits earth
• It takes 28 days
• The moon reflects light from the sun
• When parts of the moon are in shade we can't see those parts - that's why the moon sometimes looks different
• There are 8 phases of the moon
