WALT: Write great blog comments

 
Look at these comments. Has the writer:
  • Included a greeting, content and closing?
  • Use the correct spelling, punctuation and grammar?
  • Complimented the post, asked a question or added new information?
  • Written a relevant comment?
  • Revealed any personal information?

WALT: use capital letters for Proper Nouns

A common noun is a person place or thing. Eg, school

A proper noun is a specific person, place or thing. Eg, Darfield Primary School

What needs a capital letter?

  • A person's name
  • Days, months and holidays (special days)
  • Cities, countries and continents
  • Events
  • Movies, bands, books, plays, TV shows, magazines, sports teams
  • Branded products


This game can help us to use capital letters in our sentences.

We are learning about learning!

Today we talked all about learning. Look at all the things we know!
 

We have a tightrope in our learning tightrope in the classroom. Soon we will all be on the tightrope. Hopefully we will spend most of the time "wobbling."
