Arohatia te Reo - Maori Language Week

This morning three students used skype to join in a lesson with Room 12 at New River School in Invercargill. Mrs Rolton and Whare Suddaby were making Maori Instruments with things found on the beach.

This morning we learnt to make music out of sticks, stones and shells.  By Claire.

I really like the sounds  that we did in the morning using sticks, stones  and shells. By Josiah.

Hello, This moning we learnt to make music with sticks, stones and shells because it's Maori language week. Thanks, by Jess.

  1. Hi Jess, Claire and Josiah

Wow wasn't it great today learning about Tumutumu with Whaea Rangimaria?! We all enjoyed having you join us for this workshop via skype. Thanks to Miss Irvine for collecting all your found resources before Monday morning. Tomorrow Rm 12 will be using the What, So What, Now What reflection tool to reflect on our experiences and what our next learning steps will be.

    Mrs Rolton :)
